From Classroom to Career Artist: A Crash Course for Musicians in an Internet Age

Effectively promoting your music – in an era where industry support for artist development has fallen by the wayside – is as important to your career as mastering your instrument. I'll be presenting this workshop compiled from my experiences as an indie musician as an expansion of a seminar I've taught at the Jazzschool in Berkeley as well as the Berkeley Public Library. Covering websites and online promotion to booking basics, press kits and sorting out the good from the bad opportunities available to indie artists. For more information, call NCMC at (413) 585-0001 or visit their website. Cost is $60/person and registration ends on September 5th.
